Started of this morning catching bait it’s been pretty tough conditions. Found our bait went to the first spot caught a couple small snapper water wasn’t moving how I would like so we made a quick move. Ended up paying off for us really well caught about 5 snook and 1 huge one also got a big snapper. Then we continued our hunt looking for another big fish unfortunately we didn’t end up finding one. We ended the day hunting for a couple mackerel and sharks. Awesome day in the Florida keys for me and my guests today.
Slow fishing but still made it happen on an afternoon half
Fishing was a little slow for us on our afternoon charter. We did have a little bit of spanish mackerel action and managed a few snappers for dinner. Also got this nice grouper which was the fish of the day! We did see a huge snook in the mangroves that was pretty cool though we couldn’t get her to eat. It was really windy and sometimes afternoon trips are a bit tough going out middle of the day. But we always give it our best effort! We still had a great time on the water.
Windy Half day but good fishing!
It was really windy today we had that front coming in around 11 so we made it happen before the winds picked up to much. Our first spot there was endless mangrove snappers and we pulled out 2 really nice ones at the first spot continued on and went to the next spot we caught a snook and a few more snappers then we were on the way home when we saw a school of baitfish swimming I was quick to act on it grabbed my net grabbed some more bait and hit one more spot where we got 3 more snappers. Paid off putting in a little extra time and we stayed out of the wind all day.
Snook and tarpon action
Me and my good friend rich went out around town today to have a little fun. We started out going to catch some bait which was pretty easy for us first spot we went to they were loaded and a good mix of razors compared to Sandy’s. Then we went and hit a couple creeks around town we’re able to see around 20 tarpon and about 15 snook in total today endless mangrove snappers as well. We were able to get a hook in about 4 tarpon and a couple snook and my friend rich went home with mangrove snapper for dinner.
